For some reason, I was expecting returning to work to feel more … eventful? Instead, things were - like I should have assumed - still kind of summery calm, the office still a lot emptier than usual.
I got a decent amount done for a first day, but to my own amusement I still wonder what new thing I was most recently working on before my holiday started. I have a feeling that there was a new feature which I had ever so slightly started, and which I should be able to continue without blockers. If I could only recall what it was.
Oh well, if I do not rediscover it tomorrow I will have significantly more people around to help remind me by Monday.
It is also clear that I should start bothering to set up a keyboard and pointing device again when I work at the office, even half a day of relaxed work at the laptop (with external monitor connected as well) created a familiar feeling of wear in my elbow.
Adding "keyboard and pointing device" to the "Go to office" checklist …
(I spent a little while trying to find Plica plica, the "theme song" of Back to work, online, but came up empty. The closest I got was a now dead Dropbox link. You will have to listen to the last two minutes of a Back to work episode to fill in the musical blank.)
